Dr. Valerie Brown, PT, DPT, CYI, BikePT is a Physical Therapist, Certified Yoga Instructor and Certified BikePT.

Originally from Colorado, Val graduated from from University of Colorado, Boulder with a Bachelor Degree in Integrative Physiology and a certificate in Neuroscience. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of California San Francisco/San Francisco State University and has extensive continuing education through the Postural Restoration Institute. To honor her own yoga practice and bring her lessons to fruition- Val completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through Blooming Lotus Yoga in Ubud, Bali. Val is a certified BikePT and enjoys working with clients to improve bike position and technique to enhance their experience. 

Val is passionate about accessible, preventative, and integrative health. Val has experience in public health and has witnessed the tremendous effects that access to supportive health services can have for individuals. Val has developed online resources for sustainable nutrition and stress management services, community walking programs to promote regular daily activity, and annual events to promote positive body image.Throughout her time in San Francisco, Val served as the Director of the Integrative Medicine Network for UCSF and The Osher Center, where she organized weekly electives, annual symposiums, and fundraising opportunities to advocate for integrative health. She finds great joy in working in tandem with other health providers to enhance her patients experience in their health and healing journey. 

Val delights in being in nature, whether that means on a bike, on foot, or swimming. She practices yoga daily and enjoys dancing around to her favorite music.
